Our highly qualified international faculty use a wide range of styles and techniques. There is a strong emphasis based upon the most significant Modern dance techniques such as Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham, Lester Horton and José Limón. Contemporary Dance styles including Release Technique and Contact Improvisation also play an important role in the program. Classical ballet, which is offered on a daily basis, is the second core component of the program. Courses in Jazz, Elements of Composition, Improvisation, Choreography, Partnering, Yoga, Floor Barre and Body Conditioning round out the program.In addition to the practical education, theoretical aspects of dance, such as anatomy and dance history are also taught, as well as principles of accounting for dance/dance law and dance management/PR.
The program is divided into six semesters and takes three years to complete. Exams are given in theoretical and practical subject matter at the end of each semester. Each student gets a report card twice a year. The program ends with a final exam. In addition to their regular classes, students also have the possibility to participate in all open classes at no additional cost. Holidays are scheduled to coincide with Berlin school holidays, but do not exceed 62 days within a school year. The tuition fees you can find here. DANCEWORKS berlin is a fully accredited vocational school in accordance with paragraph 9a of the Berlin code for private schools. Our students have the opportunity to apply for financial aid in accordance with the Federal Education and Trainings Assistance Act (BaföG).

The goal of DANCEWORKS berlin is to provide young dancers with a comprehensive education program which develops their physical and artistic abilities, and enables them to achieve the highest professional standard of Modern Dance.
If you are interested in the 3 year dance education program in Modern Dance, your application form and a successful audition are required in order to be accepted. Auditions are held several times per year. Transfer students are always welcome if they pass the audition.
